Financially planning for SN children's future

@auntie and others [br] Auntie mentioned something in the SSI post about crating a financial plan and/or trust to provide for a child's care as an adult, if they are not capable of supporting themselves. My husband and I have a will with a simple trust set up for our kids, but nothing as she described, that would purposely provide some support, but not so much as to disqualify them from government services. Who should we be talking to about stategically planning this sort of thing? Is there a particular type of estate planner we should be looking for, or someone else? What other types of things should we be considering from a financial standpoint?

@auntie I've been thinking about your advice about the trouble an "adult" can get into a lot, because that is so common with people with a FASD. I also worry that so much of this may come into play sooner than we'd like, if we let the school, or anyone else establish a precedent of considering him older than his legal age.

We did our wills, living wills, and SN trust through a recommended elder and special needs law office. We named our executor, DD's guardians and trustees, and had it all done in one shot.
