MIL vent... another one...

    It is a real pain in the ass when you tell us you're coming into town in the morning and don't show up at our house till 5 pm. Do you expect us to hang around the house all day waiting for you? Also, when you show up at 5, that's not exactly a time I want to visit. We're getting ready for dinner, J is not as his best, and I'm frantically trying to finish all the chores I didn't get done because I was waiting on you all day. Is it possible for you to NOT fly by the seat of your pants and make a plan?

Also, it is not a complement to call my son a momma's boy when he watches for me to enter the room. It's a developmental milestone and I feel like you're calling my son a sissy when you use that term. I don't call your sons names though I've thought them quite often when they act like children. Why did you think giving them the silent treatment was an appropriate punishment? Now all 3 of them don't take ownership for their actions and act like babies!!!
