I adore Beryl on paper, love it. However, it sounds like "barrel" which puts it on the GP list.
I can't believe my name came up! BTW, my family and the only other Beryls I have ever known pronounce it more like Pearl with a B. I am the third Beryl in my family and it is DD's mn. I HATE when people say barrel, but I "get it" since that is what it looks like phonetically.
I love Aurora until I try to say it. I also think Catherine looks a lot prettier than it sounds. ETA: I love the sound of Margo, but there isn't a single spelling I like.
Just had this conversation with a friend! A Teen Mom 3 mom named her daughter Arabella. I think it sounds pretty, but not such a fan of the way it looks.
