So we took Reese to the park this morning, and I was completely impressed by a 12-13 year old boy. I am guessing he was in charge of 3 kids--siblings/cousins/etc?. The youngest was about 3, about a 5 year old and maybe 6/7 year old.
Not only was the boy completely attentive to the younger kids, if they were misusing the equipment and not listening to him--he had them sit on the bench for a minute or so and then come and tell him what "lesson" they learned. I saw it happen once when the middle girl was pushing younger kids out of the way. He also made them sound off every two-three minutes to make sure they were always around him. He was helping them and so attentive on the equipment with them and playing games with them.
I was super impressed. I was thinking that he will grow up into a great dad! He was so responsible and careful with them.
