Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Switching formula question- going from a spit up formula to a regular formula??

DD will be 3 months on the 15th and has been diagnosed with silent reflux since she was a month old. We have her on similac spit up and zantac and its working great.

I was wondering if anyone went from a spit up formula to a regular formula? If she outgrows the reflux ( especially after starting solids) is there a real need to keep her on the thicker formula? I've seen a lot of posts on going TO a spit up formula but not FROM a spit up formula.

I wouldn't do anything just yet cuz it's working so well right now. Just wondering if anyone has done it and about how old lo was when they did.

I kept my LO on similac spit up for the whole year. He got really spit-up-y when I started the transition * to WCM, but has stopped that. I would transition slowly.

  • Lurking here...DD has been on Similac spit up since about 3 months and is still on at 9.5 months. She likes it and its going fine so I'm not trying to fix something that's not broke :-) Figure shell be on it until 12 months when she starts cows milk. She still does spit up a little bit even though on solids too but I assume it would be much worse if on regular formula.
