Social Smile

I had my b/g twins at 36 weeks. They are 7 weeks old now and I can't wait for their first social smile! All the blogs/ sites say it should happeb around now. Will it take longer because they were born early? Are they developmentally 4 weeks old instead of 7?

Re: Social Smile

  • It will happen when it happens....will the three weeks make a difference...maybe...but if could just be a fluke. I know my daughter was born at 28 weeks and smiled at 1 month adjusted. They all have their own schedule:)
After three miscarriages and one ectopic pregnancy we are currently pursuing adoption. " Born not from our flesh, but born in our heart. You were longed for and wanted and loved from the start."

  • They generally smile around then. One of mine started at 6 weeks, the other was almost 9 weeks. Funnily enough, the slower one is a lot more shy still, but more sweet.

  • I find that mine run behind, but they do things at their own pace and that's fine.
