How are you feeling hon'? I hope you are doing great. I just read your post about your chocolate bread pudding in the crock pot! Ummmm, that sounds divine!! I use my crock pot all the time and have always wanted to make a bread pudding. Can you share the recipe? If you can and have the time, post here or you can email it to me at j_podgurski@yahoo.com.
Thanks so much!!!!! It sounds yummy!!!
Re: ****itsmevkb****
I've been feeling pretty good, just tired what with the toddler and being pregnant and working..........well, you know what I mean! (and you're carrying two!)
I just had some of the bread pudding and it was pretty good, very rich, but bread pudding always is. I'll try and post the recipe once I'm home and you can give it a try.
How's everything with you?

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

I too dread going out in the snow. I said something to my doctor yesterday about how I feel a lot of pressure when I'm walking the 5 to 10 blocks into work everyday and how I worry about slipping on the ice and snow and all he responded with was that I should be careful and that it's normal to feel the pressure earlier this time around. Hello! What I wanted him to say was how he'd give me a handicap sticker so that I could park right across the street from where I work instead of having to use one of the distant parking lots. No such luck I guess.
Well, the bread pudding was a hit at my work party so here's the recipe:
Chocolate Coffee Bread Pudding
1 cup butter
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups chocolate milk
1/4 strong coffee
1/2 cup currants
1/2 cup raisins - optional
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
4 cups stale white break broken into bite size pieces (I found that three slices of bread makes a little over a cup)
In a bowl, beat the butter, sugar and cinnamon with a mixer. Add the eggs and beat until fluffy. Mix in the chocolate milk, coffee, currants and raisins. Fold in the chocolate chips, pecans and bread cubes. Pour into a lightly greased crock pot. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or on high for 2.5 to 3 hours.
For a 5, 6 or 7 quart crock pot you can double the recipe (which is what I did).
If you try it let me know if you like it.
