Your DH and your wedding dress

I'm watching "Say yes to the dress" and I'm surprised at how many brides take their fiances to help them choose the dress. I wanted it to be a surprise for my husband, plus, he has no fashion sense. Did your husband help with your wedding dress?

    No! I was really excited to surprise him with the dress on the big day. I didn't even take my bridesmaids with me, just my mom, and it was a really memorable sweet day for us (yes, I found "the one" on the first day). I did look at some pictures of dress online with DH before going dress shopping, just to make sure he was on board with the style I liked, and our tastes were exactly the same :)

    No, my mom went with me.  I did show DH a picture though to explain why he had to have a burnt orange tie. :)

    I didn't even pick out my own wedding sari. My dh went with me and his parents to look at saris in LA. My ILs got an idea of what I liked and bought my wedding sari in Sri Lanka.

    He didn't come for the shopping, but I brought DH to go see the dress I had picked out. I figured on our wedding day he'd get to see the whole picture with hair and make-up and everything, so it was NBD to see just the dress in advance.

    No.  I don't think my husband would have been interested in anything other than the price tag, to tell you the truth.  He could care less about fashion, especially something so expensive and only worn once.  I took my mom and BFF.

    No. He doesn't care about fashion and he would never tell me what to wear. He also would have been appalled at the prices.

    No, he was surprised on our wedding day. I took a very good friend that the consultant mistook for my father to try on dresses. I went back on my own to make a final selection.

    I wasn't big on the *mystery* of it all, but yeah my husband doesn't want to go shopping :-/  No I didn't take him and I didn't even think to.

    I didn't really care about mystery, but I did care about bad luck. So he didn't go with me. We eloped though, so I never wore the dress I bought anyway.

    we got married on the beach- I didn't wear a wedding dress.

    but if I were shopping for one I wouldn't bring DH or let him come! I'd want him to wait and see me on the big day!

    No. I went with my mom. My MIL joined us for the last fitting.

    Nope. It was just my mom, dad,and sister. I wanted to surprise him with it on our wedding day. He would ask me what it looks like and I wouldn't tell him.
