Tips for a FTM heading back to work?

My LO will be heading to DC at 8 weeks on Thursday. I'm breastfeeding and trying to store as much as possible now to supplement what I can pump at work. DH and I will be going for the orientation/set up early in the week. I guess I'm just nervouse and want to make the transition is as smooth as possible for him. Any tips on helping us adjust to the new schedule and his new daily environment? Other than spare clothes, crib sheets, and obviously milk and diapers is there anything I should send with him that isn't obvious? Should I expect him to react (be irritable, etc) to his new environment? Should I go ahead and buy some cold medicine or any first aid related supplies?

This helps my DS2 nap in his crib at daycare. Kind of helps block off the noise.

Block off time on your calendar at work for pumping three times a day at work.

Make sure you have a humidifier and a Nose Frida and saline spray.

My guys both started at 12 weeks and both did great. GL!

  • My advice is just to give your baby time to adjust. He will figure it out and so will the dcps. They've done it a hundred times and it will all be ok
