Shocked!

Called a doctor office recommended to me by a coworker. It is 8th Ave Obstertrics and Gynecology. I was shocked when the lady asked me in routine questions when is your last period? When did you take your prenancy test? Are you a Jehovah's Witness? When I said yes she was like we don't take those here. I was like what if I don't say I am? Lol she was like no. Let me give you other office numbers : I really wanted to try that doctor because she does vbacs. I know it's because of the no blood policy but I cant believe how she asked lol. I found another doctor who doesn't care but I haven't asked about vbacs yet :/

    WTH!! ok...excuse my ignorance, but what's the "no blood" policy and what does that have to do with being a Jehovah's Witness?

    It's a liability issue for the doctor. It may not be right, but as the care provider, they have every right to refuse to accept you as a patient. The group had probably encountered issues in the past resulting in a malpractice suit which led them to that decision.
