Allergies and BF

It would seem that I have developed allergies since having LO. I have been breaking out in hives and had some swelling. I went to the dr today and got a referral for an allergy test. In the meantime, Im wondering what others take for this. Claritin says right on the box do not take if nursing and Benadryl says ask your dr....well she said I could take it but nothing is 100% safe. Recommendations?

    I was using Zyrtec and nasonex when I was breast feeding.

    They gave me Bendaryl after having my son because I was having a reaction to every piece of adhesive that touched me.

    I take Zyrtec + Singular for my asthma.  I, too, am finding I have a large amount of new allergies.  I now can't use shampoo with sulfates or deodorant with aluminum.  Hives all the time!  I sympathize with you.
