I swear my little guy may actually be able to STTN I it weren't for his bad gas. He just cries and cries because it is so painful. I try my best to help him get it out but sometimes I just can't :-/ does anyone know when gas becomes easier for babies to pass?
Do you use gas drops? I know some people think they're useless, but we've had luck with them when LO is super gassy. Daycare said they seem to help when LO doesn't burp well... and our pedi said they can be helpful when the gas needs to pass at the other end.
Are you BFing? If so have you tried cutting down on gassy foods and carbonated beverages? I had to cut out all carbonated beverages when BFing because it caused DS a lot of pain. It looked like it was gas but I finally figured out it wasn't. But if you already dont drink anything carbonated then I got nothing for ya, sorry!
Along these lines, if you're BFing, could it be a milk protein intolerance? A lot of breastfed babies with MPI are very gassy so you may try eliminating dairy from your diet to see if that helps.
Hmmm, those are a few things to think about. I don't usually drink carbonated beverages but I have been lately. I've also always wondered about dairy because I have an addiction to it but since he's never had any mucousy or bloody stools so I didn't think it was. Did you ladies just cut out the obvious dairy or hidden dairy as well?
I would second the probiotic post. It has helped M a ton! And nat phos 6x homeopathic pills. For acid reflux-indigestion. And trust me, I was not someone who believed in homeopathic remedies!
Re: Gas can suck it!!
Also, since I've been dairy free, I've noticed my LO doesn't get nearly as many boogers.
