My lo was born at 35 weeks and is still in the NICU. She is now almost 2 weeks old. She did so well trying to nurse the first couple days and latched decently. Slowly she has regressed and now shows hardly any interest when I put her to breast. I gave in to trying a bottle so she could get her NG tube out, it worked and she's doing really well with that, but I still want to breastfeed, she is anemic and jaundice and has been off and on treatment for that, so the nurses keep saying she's just tired. But even when she's wide away she tries to latch and slips right off. I tried a shield and she will go for about 5 minutes if I hold her there. I bf my other daughter for 15 months. Any advice or tips? Is she just too premature to get if?
