Fluid in Fallopian tube?

So I went to the Dr today to have my Paragard IUD inserted. All went well and it didn't even hurt. They did an ultrasound to make sure it was placed correctly and they found fluid and an enlarged area on my left Fallopian tube. Now I have to be on antibiotics (and have to formula feed for a week, yet again... because I can't take it while breastfeeding). My Dr wasn't sure why I have this fluid. She did a culture and I will go back in a month for another ultrasound.

Have any of you had anything like this before? She doesn't know what caused it. I haven't had surgery (I had a D&C recently but she said that had nothing to do with it.) She asked if I ever had chlamydia or gonorrhea and I haven't. It's kinda freaking me out a little because I don't know what caused it. It has been one thing after another since I gave birth. I had such an easy pregnancy and once she came out... Have any of you lovely ladies ever had fluid and/or an enlarged area on one of your Fallopian tubes?

I can't take Amoxicillin because I'm allergic to Penicillin and it's in the same family. So unfortunately, I have to take one that's not breastfeeding friendly.

Have you thought about getting a second opinion on the antibiotic thing? Most are safe for pregnancy. My friend is allergic to penicillin but continued to bf'd while being treated for an infected incision.

Most drugs aren't 'approved' for bfing, but are still safe to take.

Thank you for posting that but the one I'm taking isn't on that list. Maybe she wanted to give me a strong one? I don't know. I wish mine was on the list. My poor DD hates formula.
