rash question?

N has this rash- going on about a week - sometimes it's more flared up than others.  Shoulders, neck, back.

Any thoughts?

Some on the Nov 2012 board suggested that it may just be sweat/heat.

    I would guess heat rash also. What does the pedi say?

    Hubby sent a pic to his brother and I sent one to my friend who is a pediatric nurse - both ink it's contact dermatitis. We gave him an oatmeal bath tonight and will put a little cortisone ointment on it tomorrow. We washed all of his clothes, sheets, towels, etc tonight just to be safe.

    I agree with your nurse friends.  I am also an RN.  I see some reddish tinge/highlights to the hair there in the pick as well.  Individuals with reddish in their hair are more likely to suffer from skin issues, aka eczema.  I would suggest your next visit with your MD bring the pics if it has gone away for the moment.  Some Desonide Ointment would likely get rid of it and handy to keep on hand for futur flare ups.  Often individuals grow out of it and hopefully your little one does.  Although without physically assessing the child I could not confirm this dermatitis either but the pic resembles it.
