Baby Owen Update :)

My sweet little man is doing so well! He was born at 34 weeks (exactly) on 9/9/13 at 11:18pm weighing in at 5 lbs 0 oz and was 18in! Dr said if he had been full term he would've easily been a 9-10lber. He has been in the NICU ever since and has had a really rough couple of days. I only saw his face for a split second before the CPAP went on, and I only got to hold him for 2 hrs since Monday.

He has now turned a corner which I fully believe has to do w/ the amazing Drs here as well as the fact that he's been taking to my breast milk beautifully. He's being fed 15ccs through a tube every 3 hours and he is loving it. He is now on 21% oxygen at level 4 on the CPAP (starting from 60% at lvl 6 on Tues) and the Dr said if he stays at these #s overnight then we may wake up and get to see his sweet face! I also got to cuddle him for 3 uninterrupted hours today which was true bliss.

He has a head full of blonde hair which is hilarious bc DH and I both have dark hair, and I can't wait to look at every last inch of him! Holding him today totally lifted my spirits, and I can't wait to get him in my arms again!
