Splitting up twins?

Wow, I just read David Tutera (famous wedding planner and from the show "my fair wedding") and his partner are splitting up and each taking one of their set of twins. When they had them he fertilized one egg and his partner the other so they are each taking their biological child. I think that is so wrong!! It makes me sad to think they will grow up separately. What do you guys think?

    It makes me irrationally angry!  Ughh, I hope they will at least be brought up as close siblings even if it is facilitated by a nanny.

    D & L are here at 34 weeks 4 days by vaginal and breech delivery on 11/19/2013
    Two healthy boys weighing 4 lbs 15 ozs and 4 lbs 5 ozs.  Only 6 days in the NICU and getting bigger, stronger and cuter every day!

    I don't think it's fair to those little babies who have been together since those eggs were fertilized.  Buuut, I also think that they are very young and won't remember any of this when they're older.  And I saw an interview with David today where he said they are going to do everything they can to keep the twins in each others' lives.  He's well aware that the situation isn't ideal.

    That's good I didn't see an interview just a blurb on tmz. I was like wut the? To me it would have been better just to share custody. Even when they are older they will know they lived a separate life from their twin....or will they not tell them they are twins? Either way it's strange!

    Trying the best they can?  One baby is living in Connecticut and the other in California.  It is just so sad and terrible :(

    Woah. It's so messed up how he talks about "my daughter" and "his son". Do you think they didn't bond with the twin that wasn't biologically theirs? That's almost more messed up than splitting them up

    This makes me so angry. Those poor twins will always feel a sense of emptiness without each other. I was raised apart from my two brothers (triplets) and I always felt something missing in my life. Now I'm blessed with twins and I could never imagine splitting them up. Shares custody would have been a better situation. Ohh this makes me so mad!

    really? Holy cow, talk about speaking from experience! Are you in touch with your brothers now? Did you always know about them. Feel free not to answer, I'm being nosy, just fascinated by your story!

    I just read an article yesterday where Tutera's ex said the separation of the twins will only be temporary until they can legally figure out a custody/visitation agreement...hopefully that's true!

    50mg Clomid + trigger + IUI = BFP (one cycle)
    Beta #1 (12dpo) = 49  Beta #2 (14dpo)= 149

    Expecting g/g twins Oct '13
