Sleep Regression / Wonder Weeks...

laxminavkar said that the WW Book states that for most week 17 is the worst week, DD will be 17 weeks on Tuesday but I'm now confused because it seems to be getting better.

Is it possible that she really wasn't going through the 4th leap yet and those 2.5 weeks were related to something else?

I use 2 charts for her in the WW App - one is for her Due Date and the other is for her actual BD. She was born two weeks early but her growth spurts/leap, etc have been lining up with her BD, not the Due Date as the Book states. According to her BD she has 24 days left in this leap but if you go by her DD, she has 1 day left until she even enters the leap. So, basically, I'm really confused as to wether I can count my lucky stars and be glad her sleep regression only lasted 2.5 weeks (I read it can last anywhere from 2-6) OR if I need to brace myself for what's to come.

Anyone else experience an early Sleep Regression phase (before 4 months) and have it end before a month?

I have both dates set in the app so I can compare but she always leans towards her BDay not the DD. By the time her DD leap comes she's usually past whatever it says is happening.
This is why I think we may have gotten lucky with only a 2.5 week sleep regression but I'm not sure since it says 17 is the worst of the leap and that's next week.

So the easiest way to figure out if she has passed through a leap is by what she is currently able to do. The fourth leap makes their movements more fluid so they appear completely in control of their limbs. They are often rolling over after going through this leap.

Here's what the app says:

Is suddenly very active: one moment he is taking a rest, the next moment suddenly everything about him moves;
Hardly misses when he grasps something;
Puts mother's hand in his mouth;
Pulls a cloth away from his own face (first still slow);
'Hits' the table with a toy;
Is busy with an "activity center";
Searches to see where mom or dad are;
Reacts to his mirror image;
Responds to his name;
Uses consonants;
Pushes the breast away when he has enough;
Grumbles when he is impatient.

If she is doing these things she is most likely through the leap. If not she might have been doing the 11-12 week leap.

Also there is 3month growth spurt that makes them cranky and ridiculous. And overall they are thousands of things that they could be going through. The wonder weeks is more helpful in challenging LO with activities than predicting why your LO is acting like a crazy dictator.

laxminavkar! I think she is still in the 4th leap BUT I think she may be done the sleep regression (FX). She definetly went through the 3rd leap several weeks ago as she has had the stuff listed on there mastered since it ended.

Though the growth spurt is a definate possibility. I guess time will tell. Thanks!
