So during my LO's laughing session I noticed that all the way in the back of her mouth on her top right gum she had a white bump. At first i started freaking out thinking it was her first tooth but in all reality i realized it may be way to early for her back teeth to be growing in.
Any how as she was gnawing on my finger i felt it and it didnt feel hard like a tooth. It doesn't look like thrush or anything its just this small white bump. There is no redness or swelling and doesn't seem to cause her pain. She had her 4 month appointment last week and her pedi checked her mouth and im assuming noticed nothing, because nothing was said. Im going to call the pedi in the morning but of course im nervous. Ugh..
I would have probably been the first time around, but I am not concerned in the least bit this time. Seriously google "baby with white bump on gum" and see how many posts there are about it on TB, babycenter, etc. Don't worry mama!
My baby has had these since like 2 months old off and on.. I asked the pedi and she said its normal and its like a cyst. Nothing to worry about..it will go away.
My LO has had a white bump under her tongue for a long time. I don't think she was born with it, but maybe she was. It's been there since at least 6 weeks when I noticed. Pedi said it was a cyst that would eventually go away on its own. Like a swollen spit gland or something. It's still there but it isn't getting bigger and doesn't seem to cause any problems so I guess we just continue to wait it out.
Re: white bump...
Nah I didn't think much of it. As long as he is eating and not fussy I don't worry.
