Crocs

I swore I would never buy a pair of crocs in my life, and now im looking into getting some for frankie. I need a good slip on shoe for him to just go outside with. We LIVE outside. If he could he would stay outside 10 hours a day. Im tired of fighting with him to get his shoes on and though maybe crocs would be easier.
Has anyone gotten any for their lo? Do you like them? Do they stay on your lo's feet pretty well?

  • Graham has some and we love them. They stay on well and I feel like his feet can "breathe" in them. I always said I wouldn't get any either, but I think they're fine for little ones. Now adult crocs on the other hand... Ugh.

    AGREED!!!! LOL

I seen some on a little boy the other day and they looked so cute on him! It has to be easier than fighting with tennis shoes everytime we go outside.

  • LO has a pair.  They are easy to slip on and she seems comfortable in them.  We mainly use the at the beach/pool.  I found them at our local consignment shop so they were inexpensive.
  • Thanks yall, were hitting up the cosignment store today so hopefully we'll run into some! :)  Never thought i'd be this excited about Crocs :P

  • Late to the game, but they're pretty much all we wear over here.  His feet are so fat, I haven't been able to find another inexpensive pair of shoes/sandals that will do the job.  It's getting cold, so I need to go to stride rite to get him real shoes, but in the summer, crocs it is!

I got mine at shoe carnival.  Size 4/5.

  • Josh has them and they are the only shoe he doesn't seem to hate. Thinking of getting him a lined pair for the fall. He has big chubby feet and is in size 6/7.

  • We just got some at CVS. Their summer stuff was 75 percent off so they were only like two dollars. LO loved then so much after I tried them on him he threw a fit to put them back on and wear them right then. We weren't looking for them but just lucked out. They only had his size and a teeny tiny pair. Obviously not croc brand though. But if you're wearing crocs, can you really be a snob about things like having a name brand?

  • Eleanor has a pair and they're perfect play shoes. They go on easy, stay on and can be wiped/hosed off. Win, win, win.

  • Listen... I never in a million years thought I would buy them. They are fuglier fluck. But the pink sparkly ones drew me in. They are seriously the best easiest shoe to put on her. Easy to clean. All weather. And they are super comfy!

  • @daniellessa1220. I bought them at Nordstrom. But again they are sparkly crocs. I have seen them on the croc website too.

Ok so I have do a a PSA here. My mom is a FNP and she said that you do have to be careful with how often/long your LO wears crocs. Since they are rubber they bascially walk in their own sweat (gross I know) and she sees a lot of foot fungus on kids who wear them excessively! Just an fyi! :)

I'm confused. Do people not wipe their children's feet? If I see her feet getting gross I do a wipe down of shoe and foot with a baby wipe. That's the beauty of the rubber.

  • Crocs are fugly but so practical. We wear them when we get in the river or are tubing or something. Tubing companies here require shoes and no flip flops allowed so crocs are the best option.
