Friday yippee, happy hour sounds so awesome right now. All you can eat buffalo wings with a nice cold beer or a ice mojito....

I didn't sleep much. I am a hypocandriac so I noticed I had 3 fatty lumps on my arms (i am overweight) which I've got cked out before and was told its nothing but my brain last night was playing tricks on me I had a mini panic attack thinking the worse. Ended up calling my mom to give me reassurance. Sucks being a hypocandriac any little thing you think the worse :-(

Had appt yesterday my little fatty is 3lbs 8oz. My cervix is still steady at 1.8cm thank god :-) My belly is measuring 32wk tho I am 30wks and I gained 2 pounds..

A finally ordered my baby shower invites. I just now have to build the courage to announce my pregnancy before I mail them out :-/

Qotd: before I was pregnant I was working a 9-5 at a cardiology office. I am a medical assistant. After work I would go home cook and clean. Watch a little tv, shower then bed to do it all over again. My weekends were never planned we did whatever came up. Usually dinner in Friday because I don't cook then go with the flow the remaining of the weekend. Boring I know...

  • Loading the player...
  • Kneenah - that was just cold... I'm ready for a glass of champagne and a cheese platter. :)

Slept reasonably well once I slept... Appears the steroids are going to affect my sleep this time and took me an hour 45 or so to fall asleep after last monitoring. Upshot carpal tunnel and nose clearing up! I woke up without the worlds driest mouth from sleeping with it open for the first time in about 4 weeks. Yeah for fixing babies' lungs and making me feel human! 31 and 1 today and officially one week out from meeting my crazy crew.

QOTD: actually home routine was about the same as I work at home when I'm not traveling... Minus the early morning monitoring (soon to be replaced by early morning feelings) and gym time. Up, light bfast, gym, work throughout day, dinner with husband, chill. What I lost was my travel schedule, which will be coming back in lighter form after maternity leave.
  • Been up since 330 can't sleep so I'm watching family guy and eating donuts :) Had a check up yesterday..nst didn't pick up any contractions and I'm 2 cm dilated still...glad it didn't change. Dr sad she would love to get one or more two more weeks but I'm determined to keep them in longer than that!! I have my second baby shower tomorrow. I couldn't go to the one my mom had because it was 3 hrs away...this one my fiances mom is throwing its only 5 min away but I can't go which syncs but I knw it's dr the best. After lunch they are going to bring the gifts back here so we can open them together. Normal routine before becoming pregnant...work, taking care of the house, spending time with friend and family..etc.,oh how things have changed!

    Hi ladies!

Slept well with the help of a little sleeping pill. Slept almost 8 hours straight. First time in a long time. No contractions yesterday, babies look great, and bleeding had just about stopped (all old) so drs are happy.

Today is 26 weeks for us!

Pre-preg, worked in finance for large investment firm, week days were boring because of hours worked by both DH and md. I spent lots of time with our pups. On the weekends we would cook out, have friends over, go to a game. We also like to travel so we recently rented a house in northern mi on the water. We took the dogs and some friends joined us for a couple days.

@kneenah, sounds like a good appt to me.
@gsk, sorry you can't go to shower, but at least you can still see a few people and open presents.
    @Bitsy- belated congrats on 31!

  • Morning!
I didn't sleep well at all... To be honest my husband had a few TOO many beers watching the football game and then had the bright idea to go meet up with his buddies who were out drinking at a place by our house! I told him 'no way you're driving' so he spent the next hour or so at 1am trying to convince me he could a. Walk to the bar b. Cab it or c. Just going to 'drive his drunk buddy home' ummm NO are you insane!!!!! That's what I get for insisting he have some guy time this weekend. He has been above and beyond this whole pregnancy especially since I've been on bedrest. But last night sucked! So I tossed and turned all night while his drunk self snored the night away...
Woke up with a pounding headache! And feeling super dehydrated.

Life before pregnancy (and bedrest)... I'm an L&D nurse, I worked 3-4 13 hr night shifts a week at a busy unit in south fl, in my free time I was a big 'party girl' so I was always out and about, or at home snuggling on the couch with the dogs watching my fave tv shows (hey this one I still do!), mh and I met at the gym so I used to be somewhat fit and athletic and love yoga and bootcamp! Not so much now...

  • rkcaraway: i am totally jealous of your sleeping pill... See myself getting bags under my eyes soon.

Mariana- I am so jealous your a nurse. I always wanted to be a nurse but couldnt afford to go back to school

                                  I guess i am feeling jealous today..lol.
  • I had some candy this morning Yikes.. was craving it.. Now i feel like blasting the music and doing some dance moves laying down lol :-h
  • Ummm, candy!!! What kind??????

  • This kind lol the evidence.. I love sour patches
  • Update: 31w 3d. 17 days until I can go home. Dr said when I go home, she'd like me to take it easy but I can sit on the couch. Imagine that - not having to be in bed all day! Our goal is to get to 35 weeks. I think 10/10 would be nice birthday for twins. (I'm weird about numbers and want them born on a Thursday). Slept ok until 4:30 when my little boy woke up and decided that my bladder needed to be emptied every 30 minutes while he kicked it.

QOTD: I work from home most days. I'd get up and help get my 9yo stepdaughter ready for school. Then eat breakfast and make the long commute to my home office next to our bedroom. I'd work all day (usually with a dog on my lap) and take breaks. DH works from home too, so we take breaks together to have lunch or watch tv. Then I'd walk to pick up stepdaughter (DH does the morning walk) and she'd do homework or play with friends while we finished our workdays. Then dinner and some tv or maybe a walk before she went to bed. We would just hang out with the dogs until bedtime. Hmmm... Sounds boring, but it was our boring. Pre-pregnancy though, we tried for so long so all the days were filled with testing and obsessive monitoring or devastating first period days. It was so hard and consumed our thoughts.

You are all tormenting the GD patient with your talk of donuts and candy! ;) I am lying in bed eating almonds while I wait for room service to deliver eggs. Starting to hate eggs and nuts.....

  • @rkcaraway - Congrats on 26 weeks!!!
@kneenah1431 - great appt! Has the dr said anything that would help further reassure you to announce your pregnancy?
@bitsytripmom - wow. Kiddos are coming soon! How exciting!
@gsk - yea! A shower! I wish people would throw showers for me without insisting that I be there! Sounds gift grabby - sorry, but knowing I have three showers postponed until after I have the babies is hard to plan what to get them!
@marianaz0 - sorry you aren't feeling well this morning. Drink lots of water!

  • 10-4 The dr only tells me your doing good. Everything is good come back in two wks..lol..
  • Both my showers were already planned and payed for before I got put on bed rest so they decided to have them anyway. I skyped the first one so it wasn't too bad. And the one tomorrow people are coming from 5 hours away and planned their weekend around it. We thought we planned the showers early enough but guess you just never know what can happen!
  • Ever since he turned head down I'm not sleeping well at all.  It's pulling on new muscles in my back or something.  I'm already up going to the bathroom many times a night, so it just makes for a restless crap night of sleep.

Before I was pregnant and up until two days ago, I am a corporate accountant and love my job.  Prior to pregnancy I did love to have my wine, pinot grigio please.  Most nights were spent with my two pups and the hubs watching tv, but we are huge live music fans so if there was anything close that's what we were doing.  I'm getting super sad that the Black Crowes are playing a few miles from here and I have great seats next week and now I'm on bed rest :( ...AND they aren't touring next year.

@10-4LilBuddy aww man ACL fest.  Bummer.  Little one is worth it!

And all you missing shower people, that totally sucks.  I JUST BARELY made mine. I was hospitalized/released Friday.  Shower Saturday.  Problems Monday and full bed rest on Wednesday.  Almost didn't make it.

  • Slept ok, keep having very weird dreams though 0_0 Anyhow, still taking my pills like a good girl every single morning at 6 urgh

    30 Weeks today!! Woot Woot
Also had a doctors appointment and my blood pressure was great (116/60)
Contractions are scattered throughout day and I'm in a good condition as well as baby who continuously kicked and moved when listening to his heart.

    Qotd
Before I was working full-time. The weekends were mine and DHs time to go to the movies, restaurants, festivals and what not.

  • I've given up on sleep in here ;-)  I find myself sporadically falling asleep during the day to make up for the nights.  Some contractions, but no pattern and not intense, so that's good.  Nothing to report, which is a good thing!

QOTD: I have two little ones at home, 5 and 2.  My days were spent doing play dates or now, bringing the 5 year old to preschool.  Family dinner, kids to bed and then yoga.  Its tough being so sedentary in here!
