my 10 month old has recently started screaming.  she screams when she's happy, she screams when she's mad, she screams when she wants something.  It a very loud, high pitched sound and I have no idea what to do about it.  is anyone else dealing with this?  how long does it last?

    At 12 months, we've been through 2 ungodly shrieking phases like that and I wanna say each one lasted about a week- just long enough to drive me insane, but not quite long enough to push me over the edge ;) good luck!!!

    My DS did the same thing.  he's over it now for the most part.

    From what I have read about it it is normal.  It is a way that they are learning to play with their voice and see what happens.  Apparently if they are doing it in a place that is really not appropriate we are supposed to whisper.  I think that it  may or may not work lol.

    DD does this ALL the time! And I don't see her slow down anytime soon with it!
