I'm just sad for him. His self esteem needed this so badly... He's very much a "if I can just do this, have that, go here, etc... my life will be better!"... It seems like every aspect of his life needs an upgrade... Dude can never be happy with his life. It is extremely disconcerting.

I'm very much a "things happen for a reason" girl myself. All I have to do is look at Ernie to know that there is a path for us far more amazing than I had ever dreamed of. I just wish he could have a little bit of that.
