So, on MFP it gives you X # of calories to eat a day based on your goals, weight and activity level. Then, if you enter exercise, it gives you those calories you earned to eat back.
I'm really getting a split answer. I asked this on a FB fitness challenge page, and on MFP feed.
I have been running 3 miles, doing the plank, squat, arm and ab 30 day challenges AND the Biggest Loser Power Sculpt DVD. According to these, I am burning about 900-1000 calories a day.
If I am doing this much workout (I count it as 3 mile running, pushing a stroller and circuit training for 30 minutes), I cannot foresee eating only 1800 calories that MFP give me.
I do a different app (lose it) but I typically eat some back. If I don't, I don't lose as well. But, it depends on where I'm at for the day.
Like right now, I have 1200 calories left for the day and I have ate 1675. I burned 1033 today with what I mentioned above and walking with friends for an hour.
I was when I started but recently I've begun just focusing on making sure that I eat within the range that I want to hit (between 1300-1600) and then may or may not eat it back as long as I don't cross over 1600 in the "food" section.

Personally, I think you need to eat a lot more. 1675 sounds rather low for what you're doing. I did no exercise this week (oops) and ate almost 1500 daily and lost 2 pounds. That probably means you could do a whole bunch more. You don't necessarily have to eat ALLLLL back, but I would do a lot more than 1600-1700.

Calories I have consumed this week vary from 1700-2300. I will probably have a snack later tonight.

Well if you're varying all over like that, I wouldn't worry a ton. I mean, eat if you're hungry of course... otherwise- meh. I have some days where I'm lower. I try and focus more on the weekly average. And if you'd had your higher days mixed with lower, I don't think it's a huge deal to go lower some days.

Good gawd, girl, how do you have the time? I struggle to fit 30-45 minutes in every morning.

I've been running with Dylan every morning. I then do the rest while she naps.
