Can you point me in a "get connected" direction? Give me some websites, recommend popular kid/mommy things to do, some Facebook pages to like, etc?

Some examples... Here in my suburb of KC we have a very active fb group called "Citizens for the Future of [Town Name]" that is extremely helpful for newcomers. I'm also in a couple local mommy fb groups, keep up with the KC Parent magazine page, subscribe to a local grocery price matching email list, frequently attend events put on by parks & rec etc.

We haven't found a home yet, but MH's office is in Bloomington, so anything in that area or the surrounding areas would be relevant. I'm sure I'll have more specific questions once we're up there, but for now I'd just like to know which way to look. TIA!

I am a Minneapolis person, but I know St Paul has tons of stuff going on for kids as well. Hope that helps, will send more as I think about it....
