We had DD1's academic assessment on Monday. She's right on track, and a little above what they expect for writing at this point. They don't even assess reading until the end of the year because they don't expect it, even though she is reading already.
She had a bladder infection and cold this past week and was such a trooper.
This morning she gave her sister such a big hug when we dropped DD2 off at preschool, completely unprompted. And lately she's been joining in when I give DD2 a hug goodbye and making it a group hug. She loves her little sister so much!
Our transition to kinder has been a dream. I am SO impressed by how well he has done in the first few weeks. He is really enjoying his afterschool program too, although the jury is still out for me on whether its going to be a long-term good fit, but for now he's all smiles and doing fine.
transition to a new preschool for my little one has also been awesome.
DS2 is officially a sitter! He's 15 months! Woohoo!
To my boys: I will love you for you Not for what you have done or what you will become I will love you for you I will give you the love The love that you never knew
DD is starting to say 3 words at once... bye baby mama, night-night baby mama... it's really fun to watch her pick up new things and take it all in.
She is going to be a flower girl in my brother's wedding this weekend. I can't wait to see her in her dress. I'm a little nervous about whether she'll roll herself down the aisle in her wheelchair, but my 4-year old nephew has offered to help if she needs it. Hopefully I can brag next week about how well she did!
DD did the big kid slide at the park - like the really, really, big swirl slide! I think she liked all the stairs (i.e. imput they gave her) but she still did it a few times, even after she fell.
Also working slowly in introducing the concept of the computer/mouse/keyboard at the library - they have pre-school type learning activities on them and are colored...but all the mice(?) are on the right and she is a lefty. Love for the southpaws, come on!

Big sighs of relief all around.
