W(was)FD?

We had cherry tomato cobbler and steamed broccoli. Oh my goodness, it was so delicious but hard to make with a needy toddler. That's ok, it can be saved for Sunday dinners when H is here. It's wine o'clock now :) I'm having some rose H got. Then I might have a haagen dazs ice cream bar. It's been a day. I am so tured of 90+ days. Here's a link to the recipe. If you even halfway like tomatoes, you must make this! I used half white cheddar and half swiss because they didn't have gruyere and gone are the days I will go to six stores.

I love tomatos. I eat tomato and mayo sandwhiches! I will have to try this recipe.

I like trying at least one new recipe each week to break up the same old same old trap. This is basically the only real use I get out of pintrest is finding new things to try.

We had BLT and Chicken Pasta tonight. It was pretty good. Here is the recipe.

I personally substitue skim milk, low-fat sour cream, whole wheat pasta, and spiniach to make it healthier. Also, I leave out the mayo.

ETA: I also add 2 shredded chicken breasts because my DH thinks more meat means tastes better.

  • @rsfan23, what a novel idea using a book! I have so many cookbooks and I love them. I should break them out sometimes.

  • Omg, that cobbler looks slammin'. I am so making it soon with all my tomatoes from the garden, I made oven baked fajitas, pretty sure I will never make them on the stove again.

It's definitely one of my main go tos! If you like making bread, she has a really good selection of yeast bread. And I'm making her squash/black bean burritos tonight.

  • I made a ratatouille tart. It was so yum! I forgot to put the goat cheese on it, but it was still tasty. I made the caramelized tomato jam a couple nights ago when I had some time to spare.

I definitely want to try this! My kid is more or less a vegetarian and this looks right up his alley.

  • MOTY here: kids had chicken nuggs and corn, and DH and I snacked on crab dip and crackers for dinner. Oh, and DS2 mainly threw the corn.

In my defense, DH worked late, and I called a "I'm not making dinner night" as soon as I found out.

  • Slice up a couple onions, a couple bell peppers, chicken breast. Can of diced tomatoes with chiles, package of fajita seasoning ( I used low sodium), and tablespoon of olive oil. Stir it all up in a Pyrex dish, bake at 400 for 25 minutes. Bam! I ate mine with rice and beans, a little avocado and cilantro on top, squeeze of lime. DH ate his in tortillas with cheese and sour cream. I ate them for dinner last night, and lunch and dinner today. Yum!
