Two Thing Tuesday

I totally use Two Thing Tuesday to find out things that I don't want to start it's own thread for, so here goes!

1. If you have switched out of an infant car seat, when did you do it? At a certain weight or height?

2. Now that school has started and vacation season is over, is life back to normal and to a good groove?

Re: Two Thing Tuesday

  • 1. We switched around 6 months old, he wasn't near height or weight limit but just seemed more comfy in the convertible. 2. Working FT and not having school aged kids I guess our schedule hasn't changed. We're actually going on vacation next week.

  • 1. We have a convertible but are still using his infant car seat. It is so much easier for a non walker. 2. We will be in a better groove once we move into our house. DH is taking a motorcycle trip this month so I'll be spending some time at my parents.
  • 1. I can't remember exactly when we switched over - I would say maybe close to a year?

    2. NO!  Not at all.  But that's because we switched daycares.  Our home daycare provider closed (her kids are in school now & she wanted to do something different) so we're now at a daycare center and even though we're on week 2 - it's still not easy at drop off!  DD has fun, but still says that she wants to stay home with mommy (which breaks my heart) and not go to "school".

    1) I'm SO glad I purchased the seat that went up to 35lbs. and 32 inches!!  I loved the days of having the carrier because I could set DS down and he'd stay there!  Not once did I complain about how heavy the thing was either!..  We transitioned right around the 14mo mark when DS outgrew it...

    2) We're not in a routine or groove yet...  DD switched schools so we're just getting started on establishing one.  The sad part is with the time change to an early start, I'm wiped out in the evenings to the point of stick a fork in me DONE before 8PM, which wouldn't be so bad but bedtime is 8:30/9...  Some days the coffee just isn't strong enough...

  • 1. We switched from our infant seat to a Britax Marathon when DS was around 11 months old and had outgrown the infant seat.

    2. Nothing has really changed at all for us, as I SAH and don't have school aged kids. We have our family "summer" vacation next week and I can't wait!

  • 1. We changed when DS was around 9 months old, we have the 35 lb / 35 inches seat, so DS1 could have been in it much longer, but it was hard to get him in and out of it (I stopped carrying him in it around 6 months as it was too heavy), so we moved over early.

    2. Well DS2 was born 13 days ago and was in the NICU for 7 days, so our routine is currently out the window, I am hoping to start getting some sort of routine back next week when DH goes back to work, but we'll see.

  • 1. Switched DD at 6 months. She was no where near the weight or height limit but she wouldn't sit in it at restaurants so it was no longer useful to me. I am ready to switch DS too at 3 months cause he won't sit in his carseat.

    2. School starting means nothing to me nor does the day of the week. It's all the same.......

    1. If you have switched out of an infant car seat, when did you do it? At a certain weight or height?  Around 7 months, I think, because it seemed a lot more comfy for Alex to have the fluffier, bigger car seat and we were not carrying him in the infant seat anymore anyway.
    2. Now that school has started and vacation season is over, is life back to normal and to a good groove? We just came back from vacation last night and I am so much looking forward to getting back into our groove! Halloween will be here soon, then Thanksgiving and Christmas! The year is almost over! Or so it seems, anyway.
