To just test every month? Regardless of period ... I have been on BC for sooooo long I have no idea if I have a regular period or when the heck it is. So I am just concerned that I cant rely on "missing my period" to know if I am prego or not.
I have been on a ton of bc for a long time, I cant remember the last time I had a "regular" period therefore why I have no idea of "same fashion" as before was but thanks for the reference! I just barely got my Mirena out Thursday, spotted that evening and Friday, then had a full blown period since Saturday.
You shouldn't feel the need to test every month, but I can understand the excitement of wanting to test before you expect your period just to see. Previous posters had good advice!
I was on birth control for almost ten years, so when I stopped taking it I just kept track of when my periods came. Usually they were every 27 or 28 days. I didn't temp or use opks or anything, I just observed the likely ovulation Window of 10 to 14 days after the first day of my period (I think that's the estimate, can't remember exactly). I would still keep track and wait a few days longer to test in case your period shows up. I waited probably four days after I expected mine (had three fairly regular cycles off bcp) because I didn't want to get my hopes up. By the time I took the test I pretty much knew already.
