First, I am on my mobile so forgive typos.
I broke down and called my obs office. Mainly I want to know if I should be taking the.baby aspirin the RE told me to take. Since I never started my ivf cycle I figure I am not really their patient. So I call my ob of 5 years. She is out on maternity leave and wont be back until December. The other two docs I don't like. One is fresh out of residency and tried to imduce me at 34 weeks when my protein was barely above the cut off for pre e...it was 300 exactly. I resisted and the mfm doctor agreed with me. The other doc is just a b+++h.
I set up an appointment for 3 weeks away...I even ask when I should come in and they say whenever I want to. What?
Then I talk to the nurse about the baby aspirin issue. I explain the RE I was seeing put me on it in preparation for ivf, but I got pregnant first. I also explain that it has been shown when talen early in pregnsncy to prevent miscarriage in some women with clotting issues and to prevent pre e. I explain I had severe pre e with number 1. I went in to more detail, told her about the various studies I had read etc, but you get the drift. She doesn't have a clue so she says she will ask the doc. I hear here say to the dr, "The IVF told her to take aspirin. Should she stop?" Wow. Not what I told her. Aspirin in its full, adult dose is dangerous In pregnancy. Baby aspirin is not. Further, an ivf Is not a person capable of giving instructions.
She tells me the doc says no and to come in. I say my appointment is not for 3 weeks and ask if I need to come in sooner. She says no. I say, " So yyou are telling me to quit taking something that could potentially be sustaining my pregnancy (or at least prevent problems down the road) and just wait and not see a doctor for 3 weeks?" She says, "Yup. I pleaded your case to the doctor and she said not to take it."
I definitely think I am getting a new doc now. This just refreshed my memory of all the problems I had with the incompetent staff in my first pregnancy. I like my doc, but some of the others...

Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!

After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
I am definitely going to get a new OB. I already have a referral to one in the area that a friend (and her Mom and her sister) used.
I am also going to contact the RE's office who told me to take the BA. I just feel bad because all I ever did was go to a consult there...
