I was noticing yesterday his head is at the top of the seat but in the britax manual it says it fits kids up to 49" he is 43. It doesn't say anything about where his head should be. Does anyone know?
Lol. I think there's another thing about the strap slots as well. They have to be at or above the shoulder FF. If thats the case and he's at the top slot then he may he too big still. I'm guessing he wants a normal booster?
I'd just move him to a high back booster then. He maybe can push a few more months out of that seat. At 5 the 5 point isn't really needed. He should be fine in a booster.
Maturity is important with the booster. They have to sit still, without leaning or reaching or slumping, the entire ride for it to be effective. If he is mature, he can sit in a booster. If he would act up, keep him in the 5 point.
He would be fine with that. My 7 yr old however is horrible the last couple months! I have had to threaten to put him back in a carseat! He keeps putting the shoulder strap behind his back and slouching in his seat that the lap part is in the wrong spot.

I put the shoulder strap behind my back all the time, in the passenger seat, when I was little :S.
