If DH didn't stay with you at the hospital

Was it okay? DH stayed with me for DS, but with the new baby, he'll probably be there for the birth while my mom watches DS, then go home with DS for the night. Was it horrible staying without DS during the night with a newborn, or did it work out fine?

    It was fine. But my mom stayed and DH went home. All the nurses and my mom were trying to help us figure out breastfeeding. THAT was torture.

And with Noah he came back in the morning around 9 am and spent the days with us. But my mil had the older two with Noah. This time my DH will have all three. So the plan is be there for the birth and go home. Then come back each day and visit for a little bit with the boys and go back home and con business as normal. I am looking forward to the quiet of the hospital haha.
    This is exactly what we're looking at doing. Part of me is worried because I'll be lonely or whatever, but honestly I think I will enjoy a little sleep, lol. Plus it would be nice for him to have some sleep before we bring LO #2 home.

    Dh did not stay with me. I told him we will be ok and he needed some rest and to watch the boys. But I was a bit hormonal and weepy at the mornings because Veronica was crying all night and my nipples were on fire from constant nursing and you know, I was just a hot mess ;)

    I sent my husband home. There was no reason for both of us to be uncomfortable. Plus, I preferred that someone was home with the dog. I think my husband felt bad leaving me but I was happy to have some alone time even if it kept getting interrupted by nurses.

    I missed him and would have liked him there with me for sure. My hospital room didn't have space. It was really only one night without him though. I think it was good that DH had the chance to rest and take care if some things at home.

    Also, the nurses were always available to help with anything. I had them hand DD to me and get me water etc untl I was feeling ready to get up on my own.
