Very positive test at home more than a few days before period due...

I'm calculated to 5 weeks and 2 days but when I took the at-home-test it came up immediately positive.  That was about 4 days before my missed period.  Any chance that my very on-off LMP was spotting and I'm really +4 weeks?  Called my doctor and explained plus I'm 36 PLUS first pregnancy ever - my appt is on October 1st.  Let's just say I'm a tad bit ANXIOUS. ;)

    very possible. I had a similar circumstance this time around. Test again if you don't see any signs of a real AF soon. Best wishes to you!

    AF = Aunt Flo, i.e. your period (bump glossary).

    When I was pregnant with my twins I had spotting that fooled me into thinking it was just a very short unusual period. Turns out it was actually implantation bleeding. It's definitely possible but you won't know until they can do the first ultrasound and give you a measurement. It's also possible you had a good amount of hcg built up 4 days before your missed period. Try not to be anxious, congratulations!
