Re: What size clothes is LO in

  • I was just wondering since LO is almost 12 weeks and still fits into Newborn size. Sleepers are 0-3 months because he is so long. shorts are preemies because he waist is small.

    @RedCherry1109 - what a cutie peanut!

We're right on track with sizing based on Carter's sizing (which is what most of our clothes are).  So LO seems to be a pretty "average" baby - though everybody says he looks like he's so much bigger than his age!

  • 6-9 month clothes for our chunk monster. Yesterday at daycare pick up the lady said "he's a BIG boy". Apparently she kept asking the other teachers how old he was and didn't believe he was only 12 weeks!

I think it means special situation / special snowflake. (Am I right??)

    I would buy that!
Thats right! Usually you always have one and I couldn't think of anything funny to put with it.

  • Grant fits comfortably in 6 months. 9 month onesies fit, but the pants are too long. 3 month onesies can snugly fit, but the pants are way too small. He turned 12 weeks yesterday and is about 15.5 lbs.

  • 0-3 is getting small, 3-6 still a little big, so right now she's just wearing both and I'm doing laundry less often :P

  • 10 weeks- size 9 or 12 month Carter's and 6-12 month gap. He's 14 lbs 6 oz and 25 inches. Ds1waa the same way and at 2 is in the 90tv percentile for height and 70th for weight. Everybody says my breastmilk has steroids in it as a joke because my boys are both huge.

This! @willman, you and me and our chunksters :) I almost checked SS? Because I have actually put a 12 month onesie on her, but it was (a little) big. She is approaching 17 lbs now after her growth spurt last week! Mostly we're in 6-9 month stuff. Definitely had to pack up the 3 month clothes already.

  • My LO is 13 weeks and is 29 inches long, so onsies, shorts, and pants are all 9 months, but  anything with feet has to be 12 mo.

I swear my kid is a giant.
  • DS2 is 11 weeks and in mostly 3to6 month clothes. He still has a few 0to3 month onesies that fit but is almost completely out of pants and shorts. 0to3 sleepers quit fitting weeks ago due to cloth diaper butt.

I think DS2 is about 23 inches and 13 lbs at this point.
  • LO is 13 week and fits in Carter's 6 months some of the other brand 6 months are too big. 3-6 month clothes fit good but some places don't have that he is about 14 pounds I'd guess.

  • In my experience, it can depend on the brand.
  • DD is wearing 6 months from Carter's and it's not too big. She's 11 weeks.

    That's a big baby!
  • Even though he is wearing 0-3 months today, it's starting to get too small on him, especially the sleepers. We are washing 3-6 months stuff tonight so that he can start wearing it tomorrow, so that's what I voted.
  • My lo is 13 weeks and 11lbs so she confortably fits 0-3 & can still wear some nb Carters onesies.
  • My little guy wears 3-6mo and 6-9mo onsies. 3mo sized shorts and pants fit pretty good. Just for fun, we put a 12mo shirt on him and it fit perfectly.

  • 0-3 months in anything with a waist (though newborn would work too for pant waists because her waist is tiny). 0-3 or 3-6 in pant lengths. Basically pants that fit her do not exist. She needs long, long, skinny pants! I was same way as child - always taller than my peers and no pants fit me right because pants that had legs long enough were always too big in the waist. I am 5'10" now.

3-6 months in footed PJs because she has long legs.

Can wear 0-3 or 3-6 months in shirts depending. 0-3 months in onesies.

  • Just regular 3 month clothes. 0-3 and the smaller 3 months clothes she is outgrowing. I think she'll be in 3-6 soon.

Still in NB here! NB shirts definitely fit but will probably switch to 0-3 bottoms next time he needs them!

I want to squeeze him!! He's just too precious!!
    1. DS is wearing 3-6mo clothing at 9 weeks old. He has a few 0-3mo onesies he can still fit but hes mostly 3-6 mos

  • He's wearing a 9 outfit today, but he is mostly in 3-6/6month

    SURPRISE! BFP: 12/2014 - EDD: 8/13/15

  • Chunkster never even fit in the newborn or 0-3 stuff :) He basically started in 3 month stuff and is now in a lot of 6 month things.
  • Riley will be 13 weeks on Friday and is probably about 13-14 pounds. She still fits really well in 0-3 clothes but has to use 3-6 sleepers because she is so long.

15 weeks and still under 11lbs so we are in 0-3 mo clothing, but wide waisted newborn pants still fit, as capris. :P 3 month pants fit her too, just sliightly long. Her socks are 0-6 month.

  • We are wearing six month clothes right now but we cloth diaper, which is why the size is so big. We have a tall and skinny guy, so we need it for the length in pants, but could wear three month onesies if it wasn't for so much fluff from the cloth.

  • He still fits in NB! But he is a peanut ;) PJs he's in 0-3.
