I have a big picture/word book I think it is called babys first words I go through with her everyday. I want more books like that. My sister did these and flash cards with my nephew and he is the most well spoken 2 year old I have ever met with a huge vocabulary.

For grown up enjoyment, I love all oliver jeffers books--the illustrations are gorgeous and the stories are nice.

There are a lot of good suggestions , I wanted to add the Karen Katz books (where is baby's belly button, where is baby's birthday cake, ten tiny tickles, counting kisses) are all favorites. Also books about colors we have a couple and they are still favoirites with my older son. I thought of more, "Kittens First Full Moon" by Kevin Henkes, and I know I mentioned it before on here but "I love you stinky Face"

Lisa Mccourt and Cyd Moore is also so cute. And "I love you through and through" is so cute too.

The Gruffalo, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Chicka Chicka 1,2,3, Guess How Much I Love You, Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed, Little Blue Truck, Giraffes Can't Dance are all good ones we read a lot!

Peter Rabbit, Touch and Feel is their favorite book! I've read that book so many dang times I know it word for word... "Brr brr, button your jacket Benjamin Bunny. It's a chilly day. Lazy Peter Rabbit rests among the crinkly lettuce while busy Benjamin gathers some onions." I think it's an obscure book, but whatever floats their boat!

Olivia loves books and i love spending time reading to her. I agree with others in that I can't leave her alone with her board books since besides reading she loves to chew them. I have one cloth book called Peak a boo Forest, which is among her favorite books. Her other favorites are:
