DD is 1.5 months old and for a while things were going great. She slept fine, ate fine, and was overall generally happy. Then she started crawling, teething and ow walking and has to be the most miserable baby ever. She doesn't eat, doesn't nap, and sleeping at night is pretty much non existent. This has been going on for three months now and I am just done. My hubby and I argue all the time and everything is a constant struggle with her. All she wants to do is walk all day and night. Like last night, woke up at 3 am and has been up ever since. I am to the point I don't know what to do anymore. Sorry for the rant!
Re: At the end of my rope
How do you handle the night wake-ups? If she is fussing, babbling, or moving around then I would let her be and wait for her to calm down on her own. My son often wakes for 4am parties in his crib and if I ignore it he always falls back asleep eventually. I put 2 small stuffed animals and a blanket in there, so he has things to snuggle with and that seems to help too.
If you are feeling this overwhelmed, then it's time for you and your DH to agree to some strategies on how to improve things. Three months of constant arguing would put serious strain on any relationship. Bring up specific issues and be willing to compromise. If you have access to a reliable sitter, plan some alone time to get out and have fun together.
