Let's talk FALL!!

Football fans in your house? College or NFL? Team(s)? OH YA!! Go Pats!! DH is a HUGE HUGE HUGE Pats fan.

Yay or Nay for Fantasy Football? Yay! I'm not into it, but DH is obsessed. I like it because it keeps him busy!

What are you looking forward to cooking/baking when the cooler weather arrives? Favorite fall foods? I can't wait to go apple picking, I love making apple crisp on Sundays while hubby watches football - the smell combined with the Sunday football theme playing in the background makes things feel so cozy! There's use something about it... I also love ANYTHING pumpkin - bread, pie, muffins, lattes... YUM!

Favorite fall drink? Starbuck's hot apple cider or pumpkin latte- ALSO obsessed with shipyard pumpkin beer with a cinnamon rim YUM

Will you decorate your house? Share some ideas! Yes! Just ordered an adorable banner off Etsy that says Happy Fall on burlap to hang over the fireplace. I also have a million (or 20) glass pumpkin that I place all over the house.

Go-to fall outfit? Cozy sweater or flannel button up shirt, skinny jeans and brown boots (or Toms if the weather is warm).

If you LO is NOT school age- have you thought about school at all? Do you like your town/regional school system? Will you consider private? We recently moved to a town with a great elementary school, so we will definitely use the public school system. We also have an awesome private high school nearby, so we will leave it up to LO if she wants to go to private or public high school since, as of now, our public high school isn't stellar.

Football fans in your house? College or NFL? Team(s)? I am the football fan in the house, DH doesn't mind it but he doesn't like to watch it. College - A&M all the way and NFL, any team. I'm kind of a Cowboys fan by default but they aren't so stellar.

Yay or Nay for Fantasy Football? No fantasy football here

What are you looking forward to cooking/baking when the cooler weather arrives? Favorite fall foods? Love my chicken and dumplings in the fall, it's a staple! Also our chili which we cook off and on all year but mostly during cooler temps. I love to bake but I don't have anything special for the fall.

Favorite fall drink? Hot chocolate and chai tea in the keurig

Will you decorate your house? Share some ideas! I'm not a fall decorator. In fact I don't really decorate for any season/holiday other than Christmas.

Go-to fall outfit? Jeans and hoodie for comfort, jeans/sweater or cute warm top with my ugg boots

If your LO(s) is school age- how did they handle the first day? Do you like his/her teacher(s)?

If you LO is NOT school age- have you thought about school at all? Do you like your town/regional school system? Will you consider private? No school aged LOs but we've definitely thought about this topic. I'm a teacher and could go on and on about this. If education keeps going the way it is (more emphasis on testing than preparedness for the real world, politics dictating every move I make in my classroom), my child(ren) will more than likely go to private schools or be home schooled in a network so to speak. I do not want to homeschool my kids on their own but where we live now, there are around 10 families who homeschool together. Each mom takes a subject and various grade levels so there are other kids in the class and they get the social aspect but don't have testing pressure. I've got nothing against public school teachers/principals, just the politics embedded in it and those growing deeper.

No for me. My hubby plays in one of my best friends family's pool.

Honestly, grilling. It is no fun to grill in 110 temps.

All the holiday craft beer (which comes out in the fall)

I really only decorate for Christmas.

Jeans and a top. It isn't jacket weather until late November

We bought in our neighborhood because the schools are awesome. That being said I am strongly considering home schooling.

PRIVATE FOR PRESCHOOL THEN PUBLIC SCHOOL. WE ARE MOVING CLOSER TO A BETTER SCHOOL DISTRICT.

If education keeps going the way it is (more emphasis on testing than preparedness for the real world, politics dictating every move I make in my classroom), my child(ren) will more than likely go to private schools or be home schooled in a network so to speak. I do not want to homeschool my kids on their own but where we live now, there are around 10 families who homeschool together. Each mom takes a subject and various grade levels so there are other kids in the class and they get the social aspect but don't have testing pressure. I've got nothing against public school teachers/principals, just the politics embedded in it and those growing deeper.

Preach it sister!! I work in schools and hate where its going. So sad.

Football fans in your house? College or NFL? Team(s)? I am a 49er Fan by default! My DH has been a huge 49er fan since he was a kid. During football season it's on our TV 24/7 but not my choice.

I love anything pumpkin! I found an easy pumpkin cookie recepie! Just a can of pumpkin and a box of spice cake mix. I can't wait to try it. I will report back.

I don't really decorate for fall. The most I do is a thanksgiving wreath on the front door.

DH and I still live in the town/ school system we both grew up in. We loved it and are fairly successful so we would love for DS to go through our district. We will nix private school until DS gets to college. We'll save our money for that.

Ditto! I am (well... was) a 1st Grade teacher (now staying home with G). I have to say, if our public school is anything like the one I worked in I will have to pass. Have you seen "Waiting for Superman"? An interesting doc...

@PennyLane26 - I have not seen that, I may have to look it up! I know not all public schools are bad, in fact the district I work for now isn't bad, it's just the testing I'm done with. I'm in middle school so by the time they get to me, they've been conditioned to pass or be doomed and its all they think about.

Favorite fall drink? D&D Pumpkin coffee

Will you decorate your house? Share some ideas! Somewhat - we do the mums and pumpkins on the front steps. And I'll drag out some pumpkin stuff inside and all my fall candles, which is my favorite part.

Go-to fall outfit? Skinny jeans, oversized top and my brown boots.

What are you looking forward to cooking/baking when the cooler weather arrives? Favorite fall foods? Pumpkin everything! Pumpkin lattes, pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, pumpkin gnocchi, all the pumpkin things!

Favorite fall drink? Pumpkin latte! Usually Oktoberfest and Pumpkin ales, but not this year

Will you decorate your house? Share some ideas! Shamefully, I really don't. I wish I did because I love fall more than anything.

If you LO is NOT school age- have you thought about school at all? Do you like your town/regional school system? Will you consider private? Public all the way. DH and I are both teachers. It would be in poor taste to send out kids to private school even though that how we both earn our living. Our district is great too. I do hope that by the time LO is in school all this "race to the top" BS is over along with the endless amounts of testing! It's a disgrace!
