Anybody drive the Contours Options LT Tandem Stroller?

I usually post on Jan 14, but thought I'd pop over here for some opinions (there's more over here!)
Does anybody drive the Contours Options tandem?  I've been doing some research on double strollers since I'll need one, and from reviews I can find online this seems like the best affordable option (not over $400-$450).
Thoughts? Opinions? Other suggestions?

Re: Anybody drive the Contours Options LT Tandem Stroller?

  • I think that is the brand we had in 2010 that was bought without our input as a gift.  It was so hard to push.  I am not a stroller Mom and DD1's personality was not that of a stroller kid either.

The only stroller I used on a semi-regular basis was our baby trend sit and stand after DD3 was born.  With 3 kids and one in an infant seat, that was a lifesaver.

Usually we are meeting friends or going shopping so I don't use a stroller.

  • The old older model sucked, but I'm not sure if they addressed any of the issues with the newer models.  It was extremely heavy, had to be taken completely apart to fold, took up the whole trunk of a SUV.
Consider used.  The deals on some of the really nice strollers is amazing.
Otherwise some of the Maclaren doubles weren't that badly priced and had good reviews.

  • My friend who had 2u2 loved this stroller. I had the combi twin sport and I really liked it. Admittedly I'm not a huge stroller person and haven't pushed one since my ds was 2/dd was 1 so take my advice with a grain of salt. I just can't justify spending a lot on a stroller because I don't like them and I feel they're only necessary for a short window.

  • I have this stroller and i really love it! I got it on amazon with a moms discount for under $200 (new!) a few months ago. So it is the newest version.

It does NOT need to be taken apart to fold and actually fits in my Corolla trunk the long way (in the center with room to the left and right). It is very easy to push, and I am able to get it into my trunk easily (and I'm a small gal). It folds easily as well! I am super happy with it and use it for my 2 year old and 3 month old. I love the huge basket and honestly my SIL has the very expensive City Select and in my opinion it's really the same thing. I cannot justify spending the money on the select, no way. They're the same length too.

If you are looking for an inexpensive double stroller with tons of options on seating, a huge storage basket, that is easy to steer this is the one for you!

    Just my 2 cents!

  • Right now I have the car seat attachment and 1 seat on. I do take the 1 seat off so it's easier to get in but once you fold it up it stays closed so I just lift it up and into the trunk. It DOES fold with both seats on, it's just a little bigger and harder to fit in my car trunk. We are about to purchase a bigger vehicle though, in which case I will not bother with taking the seats off at all.
