So, I asked this on TTGP but ever heard of Stella & Dot?

I am just starting out as an independent stylist for Stella & Dot. No one I have talked to really is aware of what it is but I wanted to see if anyone on here has heard of it. Thoughts on the line? I just want to kinda get an idea of what people's perspective is on the line before I do my first show. I like to be prepared so I am not taken off guard by reactions. Thanks!

  • I think Molly is into it? Or I have seen her post about it. I don't know anything except I hear things here and there about it. Sometimes it pops up on my FB feed.

  • If I remember correctly, one of our bumpies was doing it. Was it babyike? Or cleigh? But I had never heard of it until someone mentioned it on here,

It was @Meaknigh! I bought some from her. I like it. Cute and affordable. I know @mollyxcate and @lilidragon have some as well.
  • I don't know what it is.
  • I don't have any of their stuff but its super cute!! Good luck :-)

  • @cedenton It is a jewelry company. It is along the same line as Mary Kay and Pampered Chefs in the concept of having independent consultants. In addition to jewelry they also have bags, scarves, and they just introduced a little girls line!
  • Awesome! I am so glad people like it. When I asked TTGP they all said it was way too expensive so I am happy to see that everyone doesn't feel this way. I don't feel that it is overpriced so I was taken off guard a bit.
  • Meak sells it. I'm not really into it, but I do love the bags!

  • I was going to say its too expensive for me. That doesn't mean it's too expensive for others. Jewelry is just not something thats on the top of my list to spend money on. I do like it and if I wore jewelry Id be into it.

  • I have a good amount of it. The problem for me hosting parties is everyone around here knows the perks of hosting a show for a home based business. People will come to my parties, drink the wine, eat the snacks, not buy anything and then host their own shows trying to get the perks off of other people's purchases, and the cycle continues. The only sales made at my show were people who were friends with the stylists, and we all go to each others shows and buy some stuff too (hence me having a good amount of stuff) or there are a few people who never want to host so they buy some stuff.

Some of it is pricy, some of it is a really great deal. You really have to have a spending budget to buy much.

The poufs are AWESOME though. They hold so much!!

It's always worth it to try to host a show, even if you just have a get together with your friends.

I have 3 friends who are stylists and more often than not the 'online shows' don't generate much.
  • Oh and as for quality I've seen some things I would have paid more for and some things I thought were worth less.

They have a great return/exchange policy though!!
