C-section tomorrow - a ramble (martinimomma)

I know I've been MIA of late but I needed a safe place to ramble and hope you all don't mind too much. We are down to the proverbial wire and I am a ball of nerves in these last 24 hours before the scheduled section just wanting him or her to get here safely. Checking for movement obsessively as baby is in a weird position somewhere between breech and transverse, facing my back, and so has very limited wiggle room, meaning movement has decreased even though all otherwise looked good at my u/s and biophysical profile on Thursday. Being off work today gave me plenty of extra worry time, LOL. And DS #1 is being especially clingy and sensitive which makes me even sadder to leave him for 4 days! Poor little man has no idea what's about to hit him though we have talked about it for many weeks. His little world is about to turn totally upside down and I wish there was a way to make him understand what is happening (he's 23 months so not so much). But, the bag is packed, we're washing the rock n play liner, and its all going to happen in the morning. Just trying to stay calm and collected. The blessing of being swamped at work and working on the house renovation this summer was that I had very little time to focus on myself or entertain pgal worries over the last few months - and if how I feel today is any indication of how I would have been all summer, it's a good thing I was preoccupied! I'm all over the "what ifs" in this last day and it has made what should be a fun day of anticipation rather unpleasant. Any and all positive T&P you have available tomorrow at 10 Central are much appreciated. Thanks for letting me vent. . ETA I'm sorry this is a huge, scary block of text, for some reason the iPad won't put in even manual paragraph breaks. Grrrr.

Sending you lots of T&P'S. I don't look forward to schedule csection again for this reason. I hope everything goes well and your day goes quickly. Enjoy all your time with DS. Hugs

Sending T&P. Take a deep breath. Okay, repeat. My DS was about the same age when #2 came along (via scheduled c-section). There is no preparing them. Just try to give him some extra attention now and then and reassurance.
