Ability to carry a baby

Ok, so I've just made the move over here from the infertility board. We've done 3 ivfs and what originally was a clear MFI issue has now clearly become an egg issue (we know by using donor sperm). So there were NO indicators that I would have poor egg quality. I'm 30 and all tests and hormone levels were normal. So how do I know that if we do donor egg cycle I have the ability to carry a pregnancy? Are there any tests that could tell me there would be potential issues? I just don't want to put us in further debt just to be blindsided again.

    I have been in the same boat as you. My numbers were perfect, but as the drugs increased the numbers increased but my eggs became a little worse each time. Luckily, the lab did figure out what was wrong with my eggs. My case is pretty rare, about 1 or 2 every 3,000 cycles is normal for the lab. I had the same questions for my RE. I told him I didn't want to finally have a pregnancy and then worry about it not being able to carry. I know he did an endometrial biopsy, tested my insulin levels, and had me karyotyped when I said that. He also did a bunch of tests when I first came to him after 3 failed IVF cycles. I was diagnosed on the 4th cycle. I wish I could remember whatever else he tested. Wish I could be more help. Good luck!

    I'm so sorry you're dealing with this.
    I, too, have been in your shoes and it's miserable. I'm 31, started doing IVF at 28 for severe MFI issues and learned I have severe DOR.

    I haven't had any additional testing, other than the usual IF work up. I look good on paper, but my response to stims is really horrific.

    I never asked my RE to do additional testing, but I totally understand your concern. Since you are worried, definitely ask your RE what other testing can be done.

    I'm sorry I don't have any specific suggestions, but I just wanted to let you know you are not alone.

    Me (32) DOR, elevated NK Cells/ 2 copies of MTHFR mutation/ MH (35) azoo/high DFI   (TTC#1 since 2009)

    IVFs#1-4: (4/10-2/12) all BFN

    Surprise Bfp (9/11) - c/p

    DS IUI#1-2 (9/12, 10/12) - BFN

    DS IVF: (11/12) - BFN

    DE/DS IVF#1: (10/13) - 2 day 3 embies transferred-BFFN

    FET of 2 day 6 blasts: (12/13) - c/p

    DE/DS IVF #2: (4/14) - 1 day 5 blast transferred...BFFN...again.

    FET 5/14: 1 day 5 hatching blast transferred...another BFFN

    Repeat SHG 6/14-normal / Endometrial Receptivity Array biopsy 7/14-Receptive Uterus

    New RE, additional testing reveals elevated NK Cells

    FET of 1 day 5 blast (RE recommends transferring 1 due to elevated NK cells) with lovenox, steroids & intralipids in October

    We haven't made it to transfer any of my 3 ivfs, so embryo quality is not good. Growth arrested around day 4 each go round, even with donor sperm.
