Anyone else a little "irresponsible"?

I mean in the sense that its an oops baby. I'm a FTM living on my own, not married, not engaged. SO and I are excited but I'm also stressing out at feeling like "I messed up". I know many have posted that had been TTC, but are there any ladies in my situation? Just want to know I'm not alone in trying to figure this all out.

I'm not in your boat, as we were TTC, but when those two lines popped up I had the "Oh shit, what did we just do?" thoughts for sure.

So long as you're here, you're not alone. Just because some of us were trying and some of us weren't doesn't mean we're not here to help and support each other.

You're not alone. Me and my boyfriend are completely unprepared and we're now scrambling to straighten our lives-together- out quickly. We're both adults with our own lives and its like now we have to adjust to combining these two lives together... We're just outta sorts right now. Best we have been saying to each other is "We'll figure it out!" There aren't any other options for us. Good Luck!

I'm prepared but this baby was not exactly planned lol I was on birth control. Hubby and I had hoped to wait until I finished school but we have a ton of baby stuff from our 14 month old son and we're in a good place just going to make finals interesting

I'm sure my mom will think so when we announce it. She told my husband when we got married, no more kids! I have 2 and he has 4. His 4 still live at home with us, my girls are both married with their own babies.

This one was planned but my first was not... We are not married but were living together about 3 years then.. I was 22 my moms reaction was not a good one and 3 years later we aren't married but I'm still nervous to tell her

My BFP was a holy shitballs moment. We knew it was a possibility, but honestly it was our first go at TTC, who knew it would all work out. We are still in disbelief.

Oh ours was completely a surprise! We were done, like I sold the clothes and equipment done! But a moment of insanity with us equals baby! I'm excited I always wanted 4, but DH is not as keen. He doesn't like all the chaos that comes with three, and he's more concerned about the logistics of 4 who will have to share a room, another daycare bill, and pushing back plans for a few more years. But as I see it, this little one is a blessing and we will take it!!

Well, we were trying (or at least not preventing) but didn't really think it would happen because I have severe DOR. So I was definitely shocked when it happened. ..DH even more so. But it was a good shock!A very good shock!!!

Oh you are sooo not alone. I just had a baby 10 months ago and was DONE. I had just lost a lot of baby weight and was feeling great about myself. I went out with my girlfriends and drank too much. This was the first night I had gone out and done this in over a YEAR, and wouldn't you know? That's the night I got pregnant. I was so careful before, but those martinis slurred my better judgment, and I literally jumped my husband. *sigh*

It was also an "oh shit" moment for me, too. But now we're excited.

This is my third and is our first planned child. Our first was a honeymoon baby and I found out I was with our second when the first was six months old. They are now 6 & 7 and we were trying this time and I still had the "Oh no, what are we gonna do now?!" Thought. You have everyone here for support, you'll be fine! Hang in there and good luck!

We were also actively ttc, but are still feeling like, Holy shit! What were we thinking?! Our boys will be just over 3 when this baby arrives and I have no idea how we're gonna be able to handle twins + 1

You're not alone! Our first was a "surprise" and this one is too! I was supposed to be on bc and just didnt pick it up, careless I know. But we did a pull and pray, and obviously the pull was a little too late lol. It'll all work out though, it did with the first and it will now

Thanks everyone! I forgot to mention I was on BC, but doubled-up a few times. Whoops! Guess that wasn't enough. Maybe I'm just being emotional cuz of the hormones. I know it's gojng to be okay, it's just not the timing I had hoped for.

Ours was a surprise too! I was on nuva ring and used it correctly everytime! So I don't know what to think! Dh thinks I messed it up,but really how do u mess up nuva ring? You just put it in the vag. Leave it for 3 weeks then take it out!

we were taking a break from trying, as we'd had a miscarriage at the end of may. turns out we got a little carried away on vacation and i'd forgotten the date. i cried when i got my BFP, as i really didn't feel like i was emotionally ready given that we'd recently MC and i'd lost my mother the following month. we're both coming round to the idea now, but i think we need to see the HB on a screen to feel like its really real.

mine was definitely a shock. I have three, my boyfriend has two. combined this will make six. oh, and my ex still lives with me and our three for financial reasons. not cool. I'm still in total disbelief.
