Attempted murder/suicide by mom of autistic daughter

Have any of you read about Kelli Stapleton? She blogs at The Status Woe about her experiences with her 14 yo daughter, Issy, who is autistic and often very violent (she's put her mother in the hospital twice). Issy had just completed treatment at a residential facility and was about to start back at her regular school, but the school said they couldn't accommodate her. Kelli had apparently lost hope and tried to kill herself and her daughter via carbon monoxide poisoning in their van, but they were discovered and lived. Issy may have permanent brain damage and Kelli is being charged with attempted murder. It's a tragic, horrible story.

    my heart breaks hearing stories like this.  I can't imagine how that mother must have felt.  It certainly isn't the way to handle it, but truly heartbreaking and I agree with Auntie the school should harbor some of this blame.
