Always feeling like I have to pee

Anyone else feel like they have the pee all the time even after you just went. I get the bladder sensation lije have to go constantly. I have a doctors appointment on Wednesday so ill have them check for a UTI. But just wondering if anyone else feels this way. I think I may be the pressure on my bladder from the baby and not pooping regularly.

Re: Always feeling like I have to pee

  • I have to pee a lot more frequently than when I'm not pregnant.  It is a pain.  But for sure get checked for a UTI, they are common in pregnancy and can lead to pre-term labour.
Me and my Kiwi, both 38.  We struggled with RPL and were blessed with Micah.  I'm a full custody stepmom to Ethan!

  • I constantly have to pee, but, it could be the gallon of water I drink daily (extra water for twins!)
  • I can go 12 hours at work and only pee 3-4 times, but once I get home I have to pee constantly! I think its because I'm distracted at work, maybe? I'm a bad mommy-to-be and really not drinking much more than before or drinking more at home than at work (at least that I know of)... So I can only blame increased blood and pressure from baby.

At 12 weeks I told the nurse I didn't feel like I was emptying my bladder all the way so I was worried about a uti, but they never called regarding my urinalysis so I guess it was fine. I'm sure they'll check again next week at my appointment.
  • Oh yes definitely. I just have to laugh....yep, I have to pee...AGAIN!
  • I have to pee all the time.  Yesterday, I went 3 times in a matter of 20 minutes.  You are not alone!

  • I"m with @mselliot08 and drinking a gallon of water a day...so yes I always have to pee.
I started getting up in the middle of the night to pee when I got my BFP at 9DPO and have been up at least once a night since.

I didn't have to pee this much with DS and certainly not that early. It could just be how the hormones affect your body, like I said i was barely pregnant (so the babies certainly weren't pushing on my bladder) and I was getting up to pee all the time.

Hopefully it isn't a UTI! Good Luck on Wednesday.

  • I had this feeling right before I went on vacation.. I had them squeeze me in to to take a uti test (since I was leaving the next morning).. Test came back negative.. Dr told me that at this time (11 weeks pregnant) my uterus was sitting on my bladder, making it smaller and less urine could be held at a time.. she said once the uterus grew out of my pelvic area I would feel relief from it.. then she said once the baby grows more and my belly is big, I will get the feeling back again..You will be totally okay to wait until your appointment Wednesday.. I have one that day too... good luck :)

Thanks that is what I was thinking since I don't have the rest of the UTI symptoms. Plus it seems to come and go and hasn't gotten worse. Plus I'm thinking that this in #2 everything is looser.

  • I'm in the bathroom so frequently it's ridiculous.  Day and night.  I swear, I'm up at least 4 times a night and during the day it's just constant.
