OPK- false positive?

Grr, I am so frustrated! After 60-90 day cycles, I thought I was finally back to 28-35 day cycles and ovulating on my own. I just realized this weekend that I am not getting an LH surge. CBE Advanced digital OPK tests for estrogen and LH; CBE regular digital OPK just for LH. I think the Advanced version gave me a false positive. Thanks for letting me vent! On to Femara next cycle, lucky TTC month #11!

    I'm not sure about false positive, but I don't think the advanced OPKs are very accurate AT ALL.  It detected my peak surge about 48 hours prior to the regular OPKs (which lined up with my temp spike).  I use the CBE Fertility Monitor AND CBE regular digital OPKs... then I cross check that with IC OPKs just for the hell of it.  It's like a freaking science project in my bathroom in the morning and at 6pm... insanity.

    Why are you so sure you're out this cycle and headed for month #11?

    Omg, the advanced is wacky. I had the same problem!! I was getting like 10 high readings then I would get a low for a day or two, then I would get a peak, it was crazy. I ditched em. use the non advanced or a different brand. I thought the extra warning would help us and we wore ourselves out BDing LONG before the surge would hit.

    So weird... Usually I was using the First Respond OPK's and this month tracking it was suggested I used the CBE ones, and it gave me a smiley face on Day10 through CD13 so far, and the First Respond ones were giving me the yes on CD14, I thought that was weird? What is the deal with them? Has me thinking that I am way off on my O days and maybe we don't need help. 

    Or am I completely talking about something different? sigh must be Monday.

    There are 2 kinds of the CBE digital ones. One is just regular and one is called CBE Digital "advanced" it's SUPPOSED to give 2 high readings and 2 Peak readings. It give me like 10! High and 1 peak.

    The CBE digital is just like it except it just detects LH. The "advanced" measures Estrogen and LH and therefore gives me crazy ass readings.

    All this not to be confused with the CBEFM (clearblue easy fertility monitor)

    This month I am using the first response digitals & charting and that seems to be better.

    LOL! Maybe a little bit.  I was told to start tracking on CD10 but I bought the one that does the 2 high days and 2 peak days.  10 sticks.  I just thought it was weird that it gave me a smiley face on day 10 (I thought good thing I started tracking on CD8 like the box said)  So I guess I am just using the regular one?  
    Just a side question? Why does it have to be a smiley face flashing at me.  I can't tell if the stupid thing is mocking me or what.  I hate it!

    Also what does FRER and wondfo stand for? I think those are the abbrvs I have seen?

    Wondfo is the name of an Internet cheapie brand of preg. tests and OPKs
