Anyone interested in a working out/exercise accountability group?

I keep telling myself I'm going to go to the gym or at least go walking and every day end up sitting on the couch :(  I start week 12 tomorrow and figure it's time to get back to it! I'm not thinking of anything super formal, just a nightly check in.  Thoughts?

  • Yes ! I'm in. I am 13 weeks and was working out before I got preggs. Now between being sick and tired and getting a new job - not so much. I need to start now since I feeling better. Nothing that gets the heart rate too high but at least some walking and light weights.

  • I'm interested!! I need to commit to something!! Even just walking. There's a prenatal yoga class near me too. By the way, I start week 13 tomorrow/Tuesday :)

  • Interested! I think I saw something similar on the Feb board? Like a weekly healthy check in type deal with weekly healthy goals. Would love some accountabilibuddies!

    Happy to opt-in, but not sure I'll check in everyday (in AUS, and the timing will be weird).  Personal goal is to go on an hour walk (as much for exercise as stress reduction) at least 5 times/week.  Last week I got 7 walks in.  I've gotta do it to keep my sanity.  Have added in some basic planks, squats and stretches here and there too.  It's not much, but I'm happy I'm getting out.

    What is everyone else's goal?

  • I'd love to be in! I'll try to check in evey day, but might miss a couple due to my work schedule. My goal is to get at least 30 minutes of exercise 5-6 days a week, but I'd prefer a couple of those days to be in the hour range. I also want 3 of my workouts to be running for as long as I can keep it up. I think this is a great idea!

  • @benevolentforce where in Aus are you? My husband is Australian. We lived in Melbourne for a couple of years.

    I may be interested. Not gonna lie though, nightly may not happen for me but maybe every other night i'll join in. Work is crazy and there are some nights I have other commitments and don't have time to get to the gym after work.

  • Can you come to my house and poke me until I get my behind off the couch/out of bed :)-I definitely need some accountability.
  • I may need another week (still nauseous and actually have a cold), but planning on getting back on track once week 12 arrives and will happily check in to keep motivated!

  • I'm in as well.  I'm in my 13th week & always have grand plans for the evening & then pass out.  I'd love to do a group for accountability. :)

  • I'm definitely in! I can't get as big as I got with my last pregnancy. Thankfully I lost all the weight, but I don't want to feel like I did last time after delivery. Count me in!!!

  • 13 weeks here and I think that's a great idea. I'm a personal trainer and even I got derailed by morning sickness. I'm hopeful the next week or 2 I'll start feeling more myself and we can all motivate each other to keep active for fit mommas and healthy babies.

    Left ovarian cyst and right unicornuate uterus (will likely be treated high risk again)

  • @theluckiest9 We are in Sydney.  DH and I are both American - here for my work for the last ~2 years.  We still haven't made it over the Melbourne, but absolutely want to!
