I've been using the bareminerals mascara for a while and I'm just not all that excited about it. Tell me why yours is awesome.

I love Maybelline Great Lash in blackest black. One coat, let it dry. Another coat from the top and then back up to straighten the lashes out. It's been around forever and I know it won't be going anywhere soon. Everytime I like a product they discontinue it.

I have a drugstore favorite and a more expensive favorite. From the drugstore I like L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes. I've been using it for a couple years now and even after trying others, I go back to it. I also love Benefit's They're Real. They both have the rubber brushes, which I used to hate, but it works with these formulas.

ETA: On my bottom lashes, I always use Clinique's Bottom Lash Mascara.

I like the original L'Oreal Volluminous in Carbon Black. I haven't tried the million lashes version.

But Pros:
It works
Washes off fairly easily
Inexpensive
Big, full brush, which I like.
Been around a while and unlikely to be discontinued.
Lasts a while

This just reminded me that last night, I had a dream that I left the tube open and fruit flies ate all the mascara out of a brand new tube. Wtf?

Maybelline Great Lash here, too. I don't have to use very much at all to get a great effect, I don't have clumping or smudging issues, and it's cheap. I never want to spend more than this on mascara since I follow the "toss every few months" rule.

And agreed on not getting discontinued. I used to use another Maybelline mascara but it died.

I am not a Great Lash fan. But I do subscribe to the toss frequently school of thought on mascara. So, while I have expensive Nars blush, it lasts a long time and less concerned about that. But mascara and eye liner, I prefer to cycle out more often. So cheaper is ok IMO, for these things.

I used to love Almay Triple Effect but had issues with the last tube I bought. Tried Voluminous and hated it. I have switched to Benefit They're Real and have been very happy.

Clinique's High Impact mascara! It seriously makes my lashes look longer and fuller. It's a little bit expensive, but they have bonus time a few times a year and usually it's a sample in the gift.

This, too. I likeClinique mascaras. When I used the 3-step skin are regime, I got the mascara free in the gwp things all the time.

Eta: if you shop at Sephora and collect points, they often have mascara as a points gift thing. So I should really say that Voluminous is what I buy if I don't have a free tube from somewhere else. :P

Another vote for Benefit's They're Real. But it's so expensive. I also love Diorshow which is also too expensive.

I'm still looking for a good drugstore one since I'm not a fan of great lash either. I usually love L'Oreal, but it irritates my eyes unfortunately. Hoping someone has a good drugstore one for me to try in this thread.

I've used L'BRI mascara for much longer than I've worked with the company. I like that it doesn't stink from tar and bat guano like a lot of mascaras do. It doesn't irritate my eyes, stays well, and washes off easily.

I also use the Benefit They're Real. It's easily the best mascara I've ever used. Yes, it's $23. It's worth it. It's just fantastic. I have someone ask me at least once a week if I've got false lashes on.

I never wear lipstick. I'm always chewing on my lips so it never stays on. Plus I either feel like you can't tell its on or I look like a clown. Please don't tell me what is in it though. I don't want to know if its worse than Guano.

Cheap option: Maybelline Great Lash (I usually buy this if I need new mascara and have spent too much $$ lately)

Expensive option: Diorshow (A splurge, but I really notice the difference)

According to snopes guano isn't actually in mascara. But go to ewg and look up your mascara. It may freak you out.

ETA: I forgot. I use Voluminous. Totally full of guano, probably, but otherwise great;) yuck.

I am a mascara WHORE! Literally have tried pretty much every mascara that has been made. My all time favorite is Lancôme Hypnose. The newest one that I've really been liking and actually bought a 2nd tube of is Yves St. Laurent Babydoll.

I consider it fresh. I've gotten all of them within the last 6 or 7 months.
