I must be talking about the baby and what fruit it currently is pretty often because my best friend just said something like, "You're always calling it different fruit. What fruit is it now?"
And now I want an orange.

i just dont see the point since it all the fruits i buy never seem to measure up to the size they say they are. My orange was way smaller and i purposely picked the big ones.
What a horrible way to describe a baby. What is a rutabaga? And the banana was a tough one. Does my baby weigh the same as a banana? Or is he the same length as a banana? You obviously don't mean the shape. And I really don't think that at any point my baby resembled cauliflower. Stop forcing this tired metaphor.

I TOTALLY agree.
Especially when they say something like, "Your baby is about 2 inches long and weighs 3 ounces, about the same as a lemon!" WTF kind of lemon are they buying?? Just give me a length and weight; I'm a big girl, I can figure out how big that is.
My 12 year old found out that the bump compares babies size to fruit and being a bit of a smart ass is always jokingly asking if he can eat the fruit. Yeah I agree creepy. Lol
My husband is intent on cooking a meal with each week with the fruit in it. I kind of creeps me out. Why are we eating something the same size as the baby weekly?

It's the only way I can explain to DH how big the twins are.. which is pretty sad that is the only way he understands it. Though I'm still trying to figure out WHY they used a Banana for one of them...

LOL I've been thinking this since the day i joined the Bump. It stopped being cute after blueberry, especially since I'm measuring bigger than what its telling me anyway! Haha Il never enjoy a good salad, of any kind, the same way again! Too funny!
Re: I wish they'd stop comparing my baby to fruit
No, the bump. If you click on the 2nd tri at the top it will have a little banner at the top about this week.
