This month is filled with so many personal milestones and just thinking about it makes me get all teary. Today is the one year mark of my third ER where I was excited because this cycle felt different than the first two, but I was scared out of my mind to have the same results as the first two. However, instead of our standard four eggs we got 11 with 8 of them being mature, 7 fertilizing, and actually making it to day 5 with 6 embryos! The 13th marks our ET where we found we had two of their highest quality graded embryos waiting for transfer, this had never happened before. I also remember getting the news the next day that none of our remaining four embryos made it to freeze and feeling crushed. I laid in bed crying and praying that these two little embryos would snuggle in for the long haul. Finally on September 21st I couldn't take the wait anymore it was already 8 dp5dt and I had to wait until 13 dp5dt for beta (I said I wasn't going to pee on a stick), so I decided to take a test. This is something I hadn't done in a year and a half because AF always showed up making POAS pointless. The test was positive! I couldn't believe it and I told DH right away and then it hit me the test was expired because I miss read the date, so I said we had to go to drugstore right then. Before we left it hit me to check the date on the package again and it turns out the test wasn't expired it said 12/2012, somewhere in my overly excited mind I thought 12/2012 was the year before. We still went and bought two new boxes of test and I pee'd on two test everyday until the day of my first beta and on September 26th we got our very first positive beta, 719. I remember seeing that my RE's office had called but they didn't leave a message which I thought was weird, so I called back right away. My nurse was confused because she wasn't the one who called and when she looked at my results she said it must have been my RE calling to say congratulations, you're pregnant! And a few weeks later on October 10th we found out my two precious boys had implanted and would be here by June 1st. I am not an overly emotional person and just sitting here thinking about these momentous days brings tears to my eyes.
