Nanny Wearing question

I am starting to nanny for a family on monday and a few things have caught my attention and I would like to ask a question to ladies iwth children this age.

I have plenty of experience and personaly love wearing infants in wraps but this mother wears her 8 month old quite often still. The little girl is great and loves to sit in her walker and in her pack and play but doesn't attempt to make much movement beyond that. Should I try and introduce more floor time and get her more active vs wearing her everywhere?

    Personally if I were starting off new with the child I would try to wear her lot in the beginning.  If that is what she's used to, and what helps her bond then that is most important first off.  Once you have adjusted to each other and gotten into a comfortable routine then you can start letting her explore and move about more.

    I only wear my DD#2 when we go out now. She is 6 months old. She plays on the floor most of the day and some time in her activity jumper or walker.

    I agree that I need to talk to them it just seems odd that they are so worried about her not learning to crawl and not sitting well on her own still yet mom wants to wear her most of the time. They have not asked me to wear her but said if I would like to I am more than welcome. 
    I was mostly asking to see if wearing this much was something more common than I realize and if it seemed to anyone else like maybe her being worn so much has something to do with her lack of mobility and me not wearing her would help.
